Let the Man Work! by Ralphie B.

Michael Vick has been conditionally reinstated to the NFL. For me, I could never see a different outcome. He committed a crime, he went to jail and now he’s out and should be free to pursue his profession.
Right?
Not according to a fair amount of commenters on the message boards. They are not going to NFL games (yeah, right) and they are going to boycott any broadcasts. They call Vick a lowlife and “people like him” and say that Vick’s life was less important than the dog’s.
The commentary on Vick’s reinstatement are more than just a view of one player. It’s shows America’s lack of forgiveness for any released convicted criminal. Every day people are released from prison back into the world with no real avenues or opportunities to get their lives back. Some would say they don’t deserve it, but I ask why release that person in the first place? The treatment we give ex-cons is conducive to creating repeat offenders because a person is often never forgiven for their transgressions. They are labeled a troublemaker and never get a chance to show that they have changed. Why not commit a crime and go back to jail if people treat you like you never left?
I hope some NFL club takes a chance on Vick and does it quick. If people want to boycott the league, let them. Let them try to stop a man from doing his best after he has done his worst. The man has apologized, lost millions of dollars and been reduced from star to inmate #72675. In this case he’s clearly been punished and justice has been served. Justice being what needs to be done for everything to be just. What these commenters want is not more justice but more punishment. It’s sadistic and its wrong.
This is one time where I hope that Danny actually pulls the trigger on the big name. It’s not like he has any more fans to piss off in the first place.

Vick has done his time…the additional punishment is not warranted. I am getting tired of hearing about this whole situation because in comparison to alot of other incidents that have happened under Roger Goodell’s reign, this is the most severe punishment I’ve seen him hand out in comparison to the crime.
I understand everyone bitching about Vick’s involvement with killing dogs, but damn let the shit go already. Everyone is acting like he killed several human beings or something. Don’t get me wrong, I know animals as pets are worshipped in this country, but is this really worth it? Leave the man alone and let him play football.
