Chanelle Simone is an established fashion model from Alexandria, Virginia. This model has aspirations to be a mogul in every sense of the word. DMVUnplugged.com caught up with her and talked about being a fashion model in the DMV area, her interests in the opposite sex, her aspirations and the advice she can give to other up and coming models in the area.
DMVUnplugged.com: How long have you been modeling in the DMV area?
CS: I have been actively working as a model since 2007. I have been modeling in the DMV area since I’d say the winter of 2006.
DMV: What’s so great about modeling?
CS: Well for me its something I truly feel im naturally gifted to do. Everyone has a their own talents or moments of needing or wanting for anything when it comes to that thing you just love. This was never a hobby to me; from the gate I entered this world with a plan to make this a career, if possible. Its like school.. You have to expect to learn and grow, get greater and graduate. Im no where near any of the models you see on TV or in the pages of W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, or Victoria’s Secret.. But I’m a working model.. And working towards that status doesn’t stop till u get there. I love that thrill.. That goal.. Watching myself grow.. Getting in where I fit in is work in progress. I love that about modeling… constant work in progress… work and progress as well.
DMV: What types of modeling gigs have you been apart of?
CS: Aw man, there’s been so much. I am a Signature model for KAS Collections Inc.; I’ve walked NY Fashion Week twice; once for KAS Collections Inc. and another for Seven on 7th. I am currently a model with Style Elite Talent Agency. Actively print modeling, my photos have been in over 50 publications… and promotional modeling as well. That consists of basically modeling for a particular sponsor however in which they hire for.
DMV: Wow, you’ve been in quite a few big name gigs. So on that note, which do you prefer best, taking great pictures or strutting your stuff down the runway?
CS: I love love the runway and the excitement of the show, the lights… the fierce pumps, swank garments! I am in love with all of that and couldn’t ever give that up.. The make up the big hair.. Where they do that at?!… lol.. I love it. But honey, I will print model, and pose, and capture, and deliver, produce, and abuse that lense, set, scene, or dream! That camera is where I live. There isn’t any denying that.
DMV: Now that we got your modeling career down in a nutshell, Let’s ask the questions that our male readers want to know the answers to. But before that, did you hear about the controversy surrounding the last Unplugged Model? What’s your take on it? Why do you think some people were upset?
CS: Umm honestly, Im not sure what controversy you’re speaking of. Haha.. Sorry.
DMV: Haha, I gotcha, I won’t pressure you to answer that. What do you think is your most sexiest body part?
CS: Mines? Umm… I’d say my lips. Akward talking about myself like that..haha.. But yea.. I’d say these eyes will burn a hole into your heart and my lips too.. Just for being so damn plump but yet, proportionate. LOL!
DMV: I’m sure you get hit on quite a bit because of your lips, LOL, so what qualities do you find sexiest in a man that approaches you?
CS: Ambition… the drive to be somebody and do something. That strive for greatness and the strength to settle for nothing less. I love that. I’m inspired by it, and in a way… assured that if a future long term were to come.. You can match me and all that im going for and getting; hands down. continued on page 2

Oh and by the way, you guys should probably do something about letting people know that there are 2 pages in this interview. I didn’t even notice the second page until now. Reading now.
