I’m mad that she’s been one of my Twitter friends and I’m JUST now listening to this masterpiece…WOW! All I gotta say is that she could’ve done spoken word the whole album and she would’ve had me sold because “Figure of Speech”…MY GOODNESS!!!! I might end up needing a new mp3 after I play that about 3948353945 times! That’s not to say that I didn’t enjoy her rapping because “Lyrical Digest” is ridiculous and “Just a Color” is another favorite as well. Perfect mixture of swag and substance and has definitely earned my respect. I don’t like to get into the whole thing of “best female emcee” because she’d honestly rap circles around a lot of these dudes in the area. If you’re nice, you’re nice period. Lola Maxwell is nice. Period.
