Jacquie Mitter is a twenty-five year old Baltimore native who radiates sex appeal through her pores with her seductive walk and cool personality. Jacquie is a graduate from VonLee School of Aesthetics in Baltimore and currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design at Baltimore Community College. When DMV Unplugged got the opportunity to sit down with Ms. Mitter, she provided insight on her idea of sex appeal, sophistication and personal style.
DMV: So, how long have you been modeling & where can our DMV Unplugged fans see some of your features?
JM: I’ve been modeling for about four years, however this is my part time job, I use modeling as a crutch to showcase my other accomplishments. And as far as the DMV fans, I have host many events in B-more city and I still do. I am also a spokesmodel for promotional ads that will launch in a few months. I can’t go into details but watch out!
DMV: Since you’re only modeling part-time; how would you describe your personal niche in the fashion industry?
JM: (smiling) I would be delighted to explain my niche! Since I graduated from VonLee school of Aesthetics, I am certified in skin care and make-up artistry. I’ve built a large network over a year, I met with hundreds of women and you wouldn’t believe how insecure they were about their skin.
So with that being said of course make-up is the first niche – recognizing the concerns that women have about their appearance, I started doing make-up and recommending great products to my clientele. I can take an average girl with acne and turn her into your next sex kitten. Confidence and sex appeal are key. Ladies remember that.
My 2nd niche is designing swimsuits, cover-ups and dance costumes. I want my upcoming line to have women exuding sex appeal and understanding the science of confidence while demonstrating an air of sophistication.
DMV: Now you just said dance costumes. Would you consider designing for exotic dancers?
JM: Ummm that’s an interesting idea, maybe a side hustle, but I currently design dance costumes for the School of Arts High School in Baltimore City. Dance accessories, stage costumes, sequins, and high fashion quality merchandise. You name it, I’ve done it.
DMV: I see that you’re wearing a revealing yet sophisticated black see through dress. I’m straight as an arrow, but I can’t take my eyes off this piece. Is this your design?
JM: (blushes) “Yes it is, this garment can be worn as a dress or bathing suit cover up!
DMV: Wow, I’m impressed. So here is a harder question – What separates your clothing line from other designers such as Johnny Vincent, Amaya Swimwear, and Thierry Mugler???
JM: That is such an honor to even be placed in the same category as them, however I love my rebellious side, I have originality and my line will showcase that. When a woman wears one of my designs I want men to want her and women to want to be her.
DMV: Since you are really big on sex appeal, what do you look for in a man?
JM: I love men that have aspirations and goals in life. A perfect gentleman gets me, someone who is intelligent; however as much as I like a gentlemen please don’t come at me with some dogged out sneakers.
DMV: (laughing) what would you say men like most about you? Your assets?
JM: Besides my looks and curves, I can stimulate your mind, I’m wise for my age, and I have a positive outlook on life.
DMV: What do you like to do for fun?
JM: I love partying in DMV area the Ultra Lounges are stress free compared to most clubs in Baltimore City.
DMV: Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
JM: I see myself owning my own boutique. My boutique will provide apparel, accessories and shoes from my latest designs as well as other known and upcoming designers. I would like to open a mentoring program for young ladies. The mentoring program is geared towards art and designs. I want to inspire children to have a passion for fashion. If these kids find a passion for designing, my goal is to uplift and encourage them to start their own clothing line.
DMV: This interview has been such a journey; I’m going to wrap it up with one last question. What advice would you give anyone that is pursuing a career in modeling/ fashion design?
JM: First if you are a high fashion model – stay in shape, eat right and have thick skin. This industry will chew you up and spit you out. Being an exclusive make-up artist for various agencies such as Kiss Models; it’s a life changing experience.
For designers, if you feel you are entitled to that position. Learn how to sketch and sew before you call yourself one. I’m just saying.
Last but not least, have your defined goals written, stick with your game plan and all will fall into place.

Dmv i love the fact that you are giving a outlet for models and artist in around the wash dc area to showcase their talent and stories, we need more of these websites. its very difficult trying to break out of this area and this is the type of vehicle we need. thank u

I knew Jacqie in high school. She was always making outfts to wear to school and doing her freinds makeup. Till this day she still does her friends makeup and make her own outfits to wear out. She is definently headed for the stars because she is humble , unjudjemental, and always encouraging the next person to do their best. She was the type to take up for the class rejects.
